ICRA Rings the Changes to its Board
ICRA is delighted to announce the appointment of Jasmin Pelham to its board. Jasmin Pelham is the Managing and Creative Director of Pelham Communications and has 25 years of experience in strategic communications in the cultural space. She established Pelham Communications in 2004 and directs communications campaigns for a wide breadth of cultural institutions, commercial galleries, art fairs, biennials, and foundations. Her expertise will be greatly valued by ICRA and its membership as it continues to grow in both its numbers and in stature.
Pierre Valentin, whose vision and leadership carried ICRA forward since its launch in 2019, is stepping down as Chair. He is succeeded by fellow founding Board member, Teresa Krasny, with Dr Sharon Hecker serving as Deputy Chair.
Pierre Valentin said: “It has been a privilege to serve the ICRA community for the last three years. The association has a great future and it could not be in better hands than with Teresa and Sharon, two formidable advocates of catalogues raisonnés and the wealth of knowledge they hold that we must preserve for future generations.”
Teresa Krasny said: ‘I would like to thank Pierre for his incredible energy and foresight in bringing us together to create this extraordinary association which has gone from strength to strength during his three years as Chair. It will be my honour and privilege to take the baton from him and continue to provide our members with an unparalleled platform where they can connect with each other and establish best practices in the production of catalogues raisonnés.’
Since launching in July 2019, ICRA’s membership has grown steadily and the association now has 150 members in more than 15 countries. Throughout the pandemic, despite being in its infancy, ICRA continued to offer practical advice and thoughtful debate to those engaged in catalogue raisonné projects through its online members’ forum and webinars as well as the delivery of two online conferences. The association is now enjoying a return to live events.
ICRA’s next event will be its Annual Conference, taking place on 1 December 2022 in London and online on the subject of Legacy. The Board of ICRA will be attending in person to celebrate ICRA’s ongoing commitment to providing a vibrant and engaging community to its membership.
