International Catalogue Raisonné Association (ICRA) Code of Conduct for Members

 All ICRA members are expected to read and act in accordance with the following code of conduct:

Members are expected to support the mission of the organisation:

“ICRA offers a forum for scholars and professionals engaged in the research, writing, editing, design, and production of catalogues raisonnés. The association aims to facilitate collaboration between projects, the exchange of information about the technical and practical aspects of making a catalogue raisonné, the mentoring of the next generation of scholars, and the support of artists, their estates, collectors and the market on the challenges and responsibilities of creating catalogues raisonnés.”

Members are expected to adhere to the following principles:

·       treat other members with dignity and respect;

·       discourage any form of harassment or discrimination;

·       communicate with other members in an open and courteous way whether in person, in writing, by phone, or by digital media;

·       respect all confidential information. Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all personal data, proprietary or privileged information to which they are exposed;

·       be mindful of health and safety – your own health and safety and that of others around you;

·       avoid conflicts of interest and refrain from actions that may be perceived as such. Avoid anything that could result in bias, or accusations of you abusing your membership;

·       refrain from unsolicited commercial targeting of other members.

·       not refer to your membership of ICRA in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement of you or your organisation by ICRA.

Failure to adhere to this code of conduct may result in suspension or cancellation of your membership.

The chair of ICRA’s board of directors shall be the sole arbiter in regard to any disputes arising in relation to this code of conduct and their decision shall be final.
